ORGANIC FOLK POP MAGIC

Elisif Norrman is a singer/songwriter born in the northern parts of Sweden.
The foundation of her musical expression goes back to her upbringing, always surrounded by music.

“My dad played Swedish folk music on violin and old blues riffs on his guitar.
I have always loved melancholic sounds. Minor chords are my favorite.”

Writing songs has as long as Elisif remembers, been a very natural thing to her.

“I love the experience of creation. Creativity is freedom and to be a vessel, allow spirit to flow.
To feel my way through the energy I am receiving and to translate that into creation.
Melodies and words come in the way they want to. I try not to control the outcome.”

Once she got to know producer Natalie “Katten“ Knutzen (El Sol y La Luna Music) she found an environment where her music could flourish.
An organic and strong, mesmerizing sound.

“Meeting Natalie was true serendipity. She is the light of my life. 
Working together with her is an honor and a privilege. We have a deep understanding. She gets me. 
I come to her with a shitty recording and she turns it into magic.”

Her connection to nature works as a continuous source of inspiration and is recurrent in her lyrics. 
Elisif Norrman sings about spirituality, sisterhood and personal freedom. 

“I call it Organic Folk Pop Magic. The underlying theme is always expansion, peace and love.”

Together with the Argentinian producer Natalie “Katten” Knutzen (El Sol y La Luna Music) she creates a kind of folk pop influenced by world music, blues, jazz, dub, reggae and music from the late sixties/early seventies.

I love music. It is medicine, therapy and healing. I am influenced by everything that resonates with me.”

Elisif Norrmans debut single Feathers was released by El Sol y La Luna Music in 2016. Her debut EP HELGA was released in 2019 and since then she has released 4 singles. New releases are in the making and the artist will soon be once again letting her music vibrate out into the world.
